about
Forfeit is out now! Available on all streaming platforms and online stores. Originally a poem, Forfeit examines what it means to move on from that which you are passionate about, and the pain and grief of losing it even if you always knew you would. It is about taking a chance against your better judgement, hoping against hope, and the crushing disappointment we can all identify with, when we're left without the fulfilling happy ending we were promised. Forfeit was arranged by Feibhár and the vocals were recorded in Station Studios in Balbriggan, Dublin.
lyrics
A deafening silence, a scream I can't even hear
My voice is gone, I've run out of fear
Who's that in the distance? I can't see through the fog
The figure moves closer but I'm not scared at all
I've been on my own for years and years
What's it like to hear anything? What's it like to feel?
Don't come any closer, loosen your grip
I try to run but I can't move an inch
My white flag is flying, my guard has fallen, I've changed
My knuckles go numb as they try to pull away
I've been on my own for years and years
What's it like to hear anything? What's it like to feel?
I let you in, you saw right through my soul
The fog isn't frightening, the silence feels like home
Don't come any closer, become any closer to me
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
To me
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
Don't come any closer! (Don't come any closer!)
To me
Don't become any closer! (Become any closer!)
Don't become any closer! (Become any closer!)
Don't you come any closer! (Become any closer!)
Any closer to me
I've been on my own for years and years
What's it like to hear anything? What's it like to feel?
The shadow takes my hand, holds it tightly in its grip
I can hear their breath and the fog starts to lift

Songwriter, Arranger, Performer, Producer / Feibhár
Lyrically driven, Feibhár's focus is on dark and ambient vocal harmonies, amplified by digital production elements, which
carry the character driven narratives she explores in her songwriting. These ethereal elements are met with an unnerving ability to personify the emotions she seeks to clarify through her storytelling, making for entrancing company as you experience her music....more
